ABOUT THE GALLERY
Prato Gallery was first opened by artist, Tiffany Ambler, in February 2005.
“It was something that I had hoped to do one day and when I found the perfect space I thought it was too good an opportunity to let go and so Prato gallery was opened.
I have always loved art as it allows me to create, to play with colour, with materials and with my hands, to try and make things that are beautiful and bring enjoyment to those who see it.
I studied Visual Art at Monash University and during this time I had the opportunity to spend a semester at Monash’s campus in Prato, Italy. Studying in Prato was an amazing experience. Not only was I surrounded by the beauty, uniqueness and history of Italy, but that experience was also a huge turning point for me in terms of my art. I felt that my art and for the first time I seriously considered that it was an option for me to have a career as an artist. It is for these reasons that I called the gallery Prato Gallery.
I believe that art is something that everyone should be able to enjoy if they wish. At Prato Gallery my aim is to provide art that is affordable in a space that is friendly and inviting. I believe it is important to be able to surround ourselves with happiness and inspiration. Through Prato Gallery I hope to share my love of art and hopefully more and more people can too receive pleasure from having art in their homes.”
